A (Dismal) Introduction

     Welcome my friends, to my domain, I am The Darker Son. Since you were obviously interested enough to enter my blog, I expect you'll want to know a little about the scribe.

     My name, my true name, is Miguel. I am a student, and amateur artist, musician, and author. My schedule during the school year does not allow for much free time, but when I do have free time, I will probably be playing guitar, reading (or writing) some horror story, or drawing the next grotesque thing that comes to mind, or I'll be spending time with my spooky friends, all with peculiar interests of their own, and, of course, soon I will be answering questions posted by my readers and writing new posts.

     The object of this blog is for me to be able to reach out to my fellow goths, because I know few goths where I live. Most of the "peculiar" people I know are members of the emo following, don't get me wrong, they're a hell of a riot and real fun to hang out with, but there are differences between us that seperate us, as of course, they separate the subcultures. Please, to any emos reading this, please don't take any offense, I never meant to criticize you, I'm sure you're an awesome person. Anyway, I may not know everything, but please leave questions and comments about subjects you would like me to talk about, and I'll be happy to help you.

     Until our next meeting, my fellow offspring of the dark, live dark, don't worry about standing out, and don't take crap from anyone. You chose to be goth, and they have no right to criticize you for that, don't be bothered by what they say, they're just trying to make themselves feel better by looking down on you, which is of course pointless, unless you let it bother you.
